Sorry for necro but if this thread is near the top and is dated more than seven weeks and given this kind of thread, I'd say this forum is seriously under-active.

Forums are as active as they need to be! Better that there is work going on than just a lot of talk about it

But seriously, these kind of projects attract a lot of onlookers and many who show 'promise' of participation but don't actually deliver. These are really just personal projects (ie for Darkwing and co) who will be doing the bulk of the work. For those who are actually working - most of the communication is behind the scenes.
