To be short and simple...My school blocked the Connexion!!! I'm so mad!!!

They can't block everything they see... that way they would block even usefull websites...

Fortunately they didnt block this site and the gathering...and I dont know why they did this...maybe it's because I go there often...

it probably has to do with the sub-domain name. here and the gthering it is forumotion and the conneion is motionsforum, terra had the same problem, except the other way around I think

Well, at our (Toa and I) school, they block content, not specific sites. Although, sometimes they will block individual sites if they are bad, but blocking any content on said site would remove access to useful websites. I could ask my dad about it since he works for the tech department there. I'll get back to you all on this.

A site wouldn't be blocked simply because kids visit them often. If so, then Pogo, FOG, and stoneagegames would all be off-limits. I'm sure there's a better reason than that for Connexion being blocked.

By the way, you all do realize that "Connexion" is blocked because its a Gay and Lesbian terminology. Plus there is a website for it named Connexion .org.

That may be true, but the word "Connexion" is found by their word search in the schools Block list and will block anything with that word. Lots of schools in the USA do this too. They look for a word, not what a site, that needs to be blocked. So if that word is in the page or link / URL then it will be automatically blocked, even if the website is innocent.

Remember to look up "Connexion". You'll see what I mean.

It's not blocked in my school.

And seeing how the Connexion is dead and the Unofficial FlashTrek forum is back I doubt Ill be going on the Connexion much more anyways.
